this festive celebration, sponsored by the Lake LA “Latinos Americanos
en Accion,” begins with a colorful parade down 170th Street East,
an ends at the Festival site at Oso Market. Mariachi’s, folkloric
dancers, community organizations, and an array of entertainment make this
a wonderful event. |

opportunity for the young ladies in Lake L.A. to compete for the privilege of representing
their community, as an ambassador of hospitality and goodwill throughout
the Antelope Valley. |

Air Force Base Air Show: October.For over 50 years Edwards Air
Force Base, (home of the Air Force Flight Test Center), has been the home
of more major milestones in flight then any other place on earth. The
annual Edwards Air Force Base Open House attracts over 400,000 people
a year. Located just a few miles north of Lake Los Angeles, see a showcase
of the powerful capabilities of the Air Force. Visit aircraft flying,

LA Christmas Tree Lighting/Festival of Lights: December.The Lake
LA Chamber of Commerce Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony is the annual
holiday kick-off event. Each year the Community Christmas Tree, at Deputy Stephen Sorrenson Park, is lit and decorated by the community. The
event is followed by decorated floats and vehicles caravanning
through the streets of Lake L.A. (including Santa).
